story to ng dalawang player ng tantra na sa simpling "oi" lang ai nag ka on hahahaha (read it loud and be touch) My Tantra true love story began as a budding cyber-romance and has now blossomed into a blissful real-life relationship. My current boyfriend Alvin is from Manila and his in-game character names are rockhizta and irvine21. I on the other hand call Cagayan de Oro home and counts jerrah86 and jerrahMae03 as my Tantra alter-egos. As you can see, we are from opposite sides of the country.
Our tale started out innocently. My ex-boyfriend (who eventually became my present bf’s best bud after I introduced them to each other in the game) was the one who taught me how to play Tantra during the lazy summer of 2005. I had a summer class back then which was really boring and I spent only 2 hrs per day in school. Thus, I just decided to use all my vacant time in playing Tantra. I immediately became so engrossed in the game especially when I was able to join my first Ashram called "Tripod Mercenaries".
My first encounter w/ rockhizta was at the “Kubasangs” area while we were having a guild party. He was in "uruja kurenai" at that time and was with a friend of mine. Rockhizta/Alvin wanted to party with me but we were not that close yet then so I declined. I have this habit of familiarizing myself first with all the people I encounter for the reason that I only knew a few people in Tantra.
My guildmaster "sneakfreak"called for a guild party at the ban dopangs in exile. While on my way there, I met "rockhizta". Since he was already a familiar character then, I greeted him with an "oi!" then we said our “hi’s & hello’s”. Then I found out he was our partymate and that was the moment that we first talked to each other. We ended the game by giving each other our phone numbers.
I got used to calling him "kuya rock". Until he told me that it’s really strange to be calling him that. To make things short, he started calling & texting me regularly and we got closer to each other. In a matter of time our closeness led us to fall in love with each other. Since then, we always played together, joined the same parties and even formed our very own guild. Every time we have arguments, we settle it in-game. We often have duels and the one who loses will be the one to say sorry (corny!) Sometimes even when I don’t want to talk to him, he’ll be doing stuff just to catch my attention, like committing suicide at the baokus, posting many ebb’s, flooding & shouting in the Tantra town the message: I love jerrah!
Though we were miles apart, it didn’t became a hindrance because our trust & real commitment to each other. Last October 2005 he surprisingly went here in our place to spend his semestral break with me. It was the first time we played together and beside each other. Although he went home to Manila after a few days, we still got to communicate a lot.
December 2005 he returned to Cagayan de Oro to spend our first Christmas & New Year together. He stayed in our place and my family was very hospitable to him. They treated him as part of the family and not only that, he was already introduced to both clans of my parents and all of them gave a "thumbs up" and even my father who was not so happy about it (he’s really strict), began to have bonding moments with his future "son-in-law".
He decided not to go back in Manila during those times, so we won’t be apart again (you know how sad it is to have those parting moments) especially now that having a great time together. He’s working now here in Cagayan de Oro, waiting for me to finish my studies so I can go with him to Manila as I will be spending my review there and I could be with his family too.
It all started with a just the usual "oi!" and I keep wondering what could have been if it was not for that fateful day? Hmmm. Maybe we could have met in different circumstances. Somehow I believe that we’re soulmates and if you’re really meant to be together, you’ll end up with each other no matter where you met. Even in an online game.
Everyone keeps on asking where we met. We just tell them that it’s a long story. You know how people react if they find out that we met in an online game. Right now both our families, our relatives, friends and fellow Tantra players are eagerly waiting for our wedding date.
